Papaya peel for face : My bad experience

Well, maybe you have heard papaya benefit for lightening skin ? ME TOO ! And I'm so tempted to try the soap..but since I eat papaya quite often, I use the peel instead.. It has the same benefit for lightening skin and also for peeling,

You only have to use the peel inside and rub it onto your skin then leave it for 5mn.
I have use it four time.. And I think that it really does brighten my skin. But not a pleasant experience at the last time.

I use it like usual and this foolish me forgot to wash my face in 5mn.. so basically I use it around 10mm. And bad thing happens.. Lots of red bumps showing  on my face.. the most is in my cheek. It doesn't really stings, but this makes me looks so BAD ! Until now I still have it and the second day it's even redder than before. It's allergy, well that's what my parents told me . So tonight I decided to drink antibiotics.. And I hope for the best.  Please pray for me *sob sob. Cause ppl just keep asking me questions, and they think that it's acne.

Update: the allergy reaction last about 6 days, and the bumps gradually become smaller and less reddish leaves me no scar behind. But it is terrifying enough for me so I won't try it ever again.

Review : Woorihanbang Precious Mineral BB cream

HELLO !
Today I'm going to review this BB cream from Woorihanbang. Purchased mine at KHitz Plaza at Lotte Kelapa Gading, Jakarta ONLY for 5$. And somehow, before I buy this I tried to find a review, but can't find any.. how come ._.

This BB cream has SPF 50/ PA +++ ( How great !) Whitening and anti wrinkle properties. And made in Korea.

Description : Seven into one ( SPF 50 PA+++, whitening, anti wrinkle, foundation, nutrition, skin recovery) It is BB cream that skin elasticity and complexion revision function are excellent. It contains sodium Hyaluronate, Abocado (Avocado I think) oil, Vitamin E acetate, Portulaca extract, Jojoba oil, sericite, Acetyl Hexapeptide, allantoin, It keeps your skin moist, elastic, and healthy while offers your tired skin natural treatments. ( A bit weird english, but It's okay.. since at least has english description..)

Packaging : It's in 50ml pink plastic squeeze type tube. Quite a lot of product.. for 50ml
Color : Only in 1 shade, and doesn't has any shade color on it. Looks like light beige color.
Scent  : has light scent.
Texture : Easy to apply, perfect texture.. just a bit watery.  A bit cooling on skin.

Comment :
I'm Chinese with quite light skin tone (but not too light) and oily skin . This product  match my skin tone, just only a bit lighter than my original skin tone.. But I think it doesn't really gives healthy looking complexion since my no makeup face just looks healthier.  But it blended well with my skin tone overtime. And with only one shade available, this product might doesn't fit darker skinned people.  This gives glowy look.  Control my oil for around 2 hours.  But doesn't cover imperfection well.

Pro :
With the original price, the price is still reasonable for 50ml product
Has SPF 50 PA +++
Comes in squeeze tube ( even though I prefer pump type)

Cons :
Only one shade available
Light coverage
Quite hard to find
Bad oil control
Glowy look*might be pro

Review : Maybelline baby lips in Smoothing Cherry and Energizing Orange

I’m quite a sucker for lip balm. Right now I have 5-6  lip balm/ tinted lip balm.. well pretty much I guess..
So now.. I’m going to review this baby : Maybelline baby lips in energizing orange and smoothing cherry. I got this at one of big supermarket in Jakarta for 2 $ ( Rp18,000 if I’m not mistaken)

Description : I lost the box already.. since I have purchased these for a quite long time. Sorryyy

Packaging : Comes in stick form. with cute packaging <3

Texture : Glides smoothly on my lips

Scent : Energizing orange has light sweet mandarin orange-ish scent. And smoothing cherry has stronger sweet fruit smell ( Can’t tell what kind of fruit it is, but for me it’s not cherry scent)  Doesn't has any taste

Color :  Looks transparent on lips

Comment:
For me this lip balm quite works in the beginning ( around a month) But even though it works, it doesn’t last for 8 hours or so like it claims. Maybe around 2-3 hours and I have to reapply it again. But as I used it, it lost it’s effectiveness don’t know why L
Love the smell, especially the smoothing cherry one ! <3  But I don’t really care actually.. even if the product doesn’t has any smell And also has SPF 20, Great !

Pros:
So CHEAP!
Has nice smell
Works well
 Has SPF 20

Cons:
Doesn’t do what it claims, 8 hours moisturizing

Rating : 4/5

Review : Nivea vitamin shake lipbalm

Hi everyone !
Today I’m going to review one of Nivea lipcare products : Nivea Vitamin Shake Cranberry & Raspberry
It costs around $2.5-$3. Actually, I already purchased this for a long time, maybe half year ago. But since I want to be more active on blog *cough ..I want to review this lipbalm J

Lost the packaging already, so can’t tell you the description. FYI I have dry lips L

Nivea vitamin shake comes in 4.8 gr products.. I think it’s pretty much all the same with other lip balm. Comes in a stick form.

Texture : Glides easily on my lips

Scent : This lip balm has berry scent, well a pretty nice one.. but not my favorite, I don’t like the scent actually. Oh, and this one also has SPF 10, another great way to protect your lips.

Color: This lip balm doesn’t has any taste. Looks transparent on lips. The product itself is in light pink and red swirl.. It's quite cute indeed :D

For me, this lip balm doesn’t really works. It does moisturize, but only for  a short time.. maybe around an hour. So, so far I’m not really  happy with the product.

Pros :
Quite cheap
Has SPF 10
Enriched with Vitamin C, B, Pro B5

Cons:
Doesn’t moisturize for a long time
I find that the scent is kind of annoying

Rating : 2/5

Note : Have a problem with my old camera.. will try to update with the photo soon *sob sob

Thanks for reading ! <3

Review: Tonymoly lovely eyeliner pencil

Hello again. It's the first time I make review, but I'll do my best ! Now  I'm going to review 2 eyeliner from Tonymoly in black and brown ;D which I just purchased today.. FYI I have oily lid :D

So let's go !!

Tony moly is korean makeup brand. This eyeliner is made in Korea and all is written in korean. I got mine only for 4$ for 2 in the store (it's buy 1 get 1) I'm so lucky :D

Packaging: When you first got this, there's plastic wrapping. This eyeliner like any other eyeliner is is made by plastic material in black colour. The down side point... is that this eyeliner doesn't has the color name in English, so it might be a bit hard to differentiate the colour. But it has different colour in the top of the eyeliner so you can see which colour the eyeliner is :D

Anyway here's the swatch.. ( Sorry.. I have a problem with my camera, so I'll update with the picture later)

Texture: The black eyeliner has different texture with the brown one . Black eyeliner comes in creamy texture and glides easily, but brown colour doesn't glides as easily as the black so it's a bit harder to apply.

Color: The black colour comes in a very black colour and has some silver sparkle on it. And the brown colour comes in dark brown colour but it doesn't really show unless you press it a bit harder..( ==)  and the brown doesn't has any sparkle.

It's a pencil type eyeliner so you have to sharpen it once it's ran out or becomes flat.(and the funny thing is that I'm super confused at the first time haha stupid me )

Pros:
SO Affordable ! <3
Eyeliner in black is easy to apply
The brown color looks natural on eyes
Even though it smudges..but doesn't leaves me panda eyes !

Cons:
The packaging doesn't has the shade colour on it
Both of the eyeliner smudges easily
Doesn't last long on eyes
Have to sharpen it so not so travel friendly.

Ulzzang hairstyle Part I

Hello :) Now I'm back with another ulzzang post... It's Ulzzang hairstyle!

Did you know, that fashion wigs are really popular in Korea. Wigs comes in variety colour( but it's usually brown, dark brown, reddish brown) and style with price range around $60 - $100+. But the average price is $70 for long hair wigs.  There are lots of wigs brand; such as gabalmania, clair beauty, gabalnara, pinkage, and so on. But the most popular one is pinkage.

So, you can still look great, even though you don't have pretty hair. Of course I could say that the quality is nice. They look natural, and realistic with the hair parting.

You can see from the left photo, it looks so natural and pretty :)
Just want to let you know that I got the picture from yesstyle, it's    a full wig  from pinkage collection.

 Hair colour

The main colour used usually from brown shades; such as dark brown, light brown, reddish brown, or even milk tea brown. But sometimes you can also see black haired ulzzang, or even blond haired ulzzang.

Hairstyle
1. Ponytail
You can simply tie your hair up, and then curl the ends.  You can also make a side ponytail, or low ponytail :)

2. Apple hair

You just need to tie your bangs area up. You can also curl the remaining hair, loose waves looks so great !

3. Pigtails

You just need to divide your hair into two, and then tie it. You can also braid the hair before you tie it.

4. Half updo

Bring your hair to the back of the head, then tie it.

5. Korean bun

You can use bun maker/ hair doughnut to achieve this look :)

6. Braided hairstyle
To get this look above you just need to bring your hair to the side, braid it and then tie it. Braided hairstyle can be anything. You can braid your hair then turn it into a headband, into an up do, or into an half up do.

 7. Accessorized

Accessories are important for your looks. If you use hair acc, you can instantly  looks cuter and more stand out. A popular hair acc back then is usamimi headband ( headband with tire inside it) and also bows, spiky headband, sparkling headband, and so on ~

I think that's all.. Thanks for reading :D

With love,
Elle

Complete basic Ulzzang makeup tips

Hello everyone ! Today I'm going to talk about ulzzang makeup :D

Ulzzang  means best face.  They are basically really pretty/ handsome people, or we could say people with "above average look"

They're usually Korean ( but sometimes Chinese/ Japanese).
But everyone could become an ulzzang even if they're not Korean and such too ! so don't worry :D

These are the keys to become an ulzzang :

1. Face
Having fair skin is everything in Korea .Korean just love "perfection" And this also goes for ulzzzang makeup.

They usually use BB cream for the base makeup. But now CC (color correcting) cream is widely used. CC cream has lighter coverage, and looks way natural on skin.. but BB cream covers imperfection better.

But  before even they use make up on, their skin condition is already really good to begin with ! They really took care of their skin, and their skin care routine is way complicated. They use lots of skin treatment. More than just "Cleanse-Tone-Moisturize"  It's needed to have porcelain doll like skin :D You can also use primer before bb cream,. Primer can cover pores, makes bb cream last longer and also make your skin looks smoother and more even !

Korean loves V shape jawline, so it's better to highlight & contour if you don't have V jawline.
You can also use blush (but don't use it too much, since they also don't really use it anyway)
But Naturalness is the key. And ulzzang style makeup is a really great example for no makeup- makeup( that I just really love!)

Tips :  Use makeup brushes for even better coverage. And don't forget to erase completely any imperfection ! Also be careful when you're picking your bb cream/ foundie shade, choose the right shade that close to your skin tone :) And don't forget to apply bb cream on your neck too !

2. Eye makeup + Brow
Before you head to eye makeup, the first thing you'll need is circle lenses. Circle lenses is used to make the eyes looks bigger and more "dollish" .Circle lenses comes in variety color, but the most common one that is used is the black one, and followed by the brown one.
They don't really use fake eyelashes, but if they use it they'll use the natural type eyelashes. And the next thing that is really important is eyeliner. To line the outer liner with black/ brown eyeliner, will make the eyes looks even bigger and more stand out. Eye shadow is optional, but stick to natural colour such as brown and beige. And It's even better to use eyelid glue to make double eyelid ;)

Ulzzang stick to straight eyebrow.  Use eyeshadow/ brow powder + brow gel to neaten your eyebrow. ( pick brown/ grey colour)

Tips : Use pearl/ white eyeshadow in your inner corner so your eyes  looks more dollish. Also try to accentuate your eye bags ( aegyo sal) so they looks more stand out with a bit of brown eyeshadow/ highlighter in the middle of the eyes ( Aegyo sal makes you look even more youthful and cuter!) And now etude house has cute eye maker.. makeup  product to make non permanent aegyosal.

3. Lips
Ulzzang usually has thin lips with natural pinkish colour. Another popular lip color is "just bitten" lips/ gradient lips . First you need to  apply lip balm before you use lip tint (and let it sit for a while) because lip tint is really really  drying. Then you can use lip concealer (to even out your lips colour and make the lip tint colour more vibrant) After that you use lip tint in the inner corner of your lips, then you can use lip gloss in the top of it. You  can also use lipstick in exchange for lip tint.

Tips : You can change lip concealer with bb cream/ foundation. Then it's better to exfoliate before, so the product works better (and also looks better!)

Hope this helps ! Have a good day :)
With love,
Elle ~

Note : please comment below.. and tell me does this helps or not, so I can edit this post :) And also tell me what do you want me to write about ulzzang related things next :D
